Two Hundred Miles to Edinburgh (THME) are a rocking covers band that will
take you back to the Golden era of Rock & Pop music.
Originating from Edinburgh, we play great songs from the cream of Scottish bands such as :
Deacon Blue, Simple Minds, Texas, Del Amitri, The Proclaimers and even the Bay City Rollers!
We also have a deep love of the music from the 70s and 80s such as:
Queen, Blondie, A-ha, Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits and loads more

Meet the Band
Hi folks. I’m Simon, the keys player, you know, that geezer who sits at the back and makes lots of noise! I’ve been playing keyboards since I was a boy and played in various bands, ranging from rock tribute bands to rock and pop covers. My main influences are the Beatles, Queen and Genesis but always interested in new music and ideas.

I’m Cheryl The lead singer of the band but by no means am I the diva, that’ll be Ray! I’ve been singing since I was a very wee lass and I spent a lot of my youth in theatre and bands with friends. I was a member of fantastic musical theatre group in my late twenties where I was lucky to win some lead roles. As a family we grew up listening to all kinds of music genres but I fell in love with the 80’s era hence many my song choices.
I’m the oldest rocker in the band and I’ve been playing in bands since I was a teenager.
I mostly played clubs and pubs in the 80s . This is where I learned to play many different styles of music from rock to country to pop and so on.
I moved to Yorkshire in 2018 and press-ganged Simon and Cheryl into forming the band.
